The Puget Sound’s Craft Beer Basecamp

Washington State is well known for its pioneering antics during the 1980s craft-beer revolution. In fact, most of the nation's hops are grown in our state, like neighboring Yakima, which produces about 75% of the country's hops. It’s incredible to think that Washington State now boasts more than 425 breweries in total!

Sip & Savor: Craft Breweries

Over 50 craft breweries are located within just 8 miles of Bellevue, Washington, surrounded by seductive mountain views, evergreen tree tops, modern skylines, and serene lakes. Bellevue’s incredible mix of diverse culinary offerings, pubs, and nightlife combine to provide a clean, and convenient basecamp for an unforgettable PNW brew destination experience.

Our Puget Sound brewers are innovating and flexing their creative muscles while developing new flavors and trends like sour beers and barrel-aged beers. While doing so, they also continue to hone their skills when it comes to brewing the styles of beer we already know and love, including some of the most celebrated classic styles like a pilsner, amber, Saison, porter, and IPA.

Visit Bellevue invites you to explore our region's craft beer scene and you will soon understand why we are early pioneers and innovators of craft brewing. This is due, in part, to the fact that the vast majority of the country’s hops production and some of the most sought-after hops are located in the Pacific Northwest. You will also grow a vast appreciation of the Northwest IPA. Northwest IPAs have more of a sturdy malt bill, tend to be a little hazy, and are more aromatic with a more hop-forward profile.
