If you’ve come with a group of your favorite ladies ready to kick back and get pampered, you’re in luck— Bellevue is nothing if not a little indulgent.
Put yourself into an immediate state of bliss at Salt Mine Arium. While you’re relaxing or having a massage in a room lined with respiratory system-boosting Himalayan salt blocks, your friends can rebalance their chakras with a reiki treatment.
From there, you’re a short walk to the portion of Main Street known as Old Bellevue. Stop in Title Nine for some well-fitting athletic gear, pick up a pretty bow-tied box of legendary Smoked Salt Caramels from Fran’s Chocolates, and sip a refreshing green juice from Jujubeet.
Speaking of shopping, Main Street’s got plenty, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. For high-end designers, sophisticated The Shops at The Bravern features the likes of Hermès, Prada, and Tory Burch. Cap off a successful shopping spree—or just a fun time window-shopping— with an over-the-top dessert at The Sugar Factory (sparklers might be included) or a glass of bubbly paired with a macaron at Café Trophy.
In just 15 minutes, you can get from Bellevue to wine country. Woodinville is an adorable town that’s home to more than 115 wineries and tasting rooms (plus 14 microbreweries, distilleries, and cideries), so there’s plenty to explore for a couple of hours or an all-day stay. You might want to start at Chateau Ste. Michelle, the grande dame of Woodinville wineries. Take the free tour to learn more about what Washington wine is all about.
Come dinnertime, vintage-industrial gastropub Lot No. 3 in downtown Bellevue is a fun spot for elevated versions of classic comfort food—think a plate of candied bacon, mac and cheese with brown butter breadcrumbs, and chicken and waffles drizzled in a bourbon-maple syrup. Finish the night on the same note of childhood delights reimagined with a group outing to Lucky Strike, a bowling alley/nightclub where craft cocktails and strikes go hand in hand—just like you and your favorite gal pals.
