Kelsey Creek Farm Park is a serene countryside experience nestled within an urban environment. Built in the early 1900s, the 150-acre park/farm is a fun family destination that offers a glimpse of Bellevue’s rural past as well as an assortment of recreational activities.
The farm’s two main barns sit on the crest of a hill, overlooking the valleys and pastures on each side. Various farm animals, such as ponies, sheep, goats, chickens, pigs, rabbits, and waterfowl, can be viewed from paved pathways. One of Bellevue’s oldest structures, the historic Fraser Cabin, sits on the hill adjacent to the park’s dairy barns. The farm offers guided group tours and hands-on classes for children to experience farm life with activities ranging from animal care to baking. Major annual farm events include the Kelsey Creek Farm Fair every fall and Sheep Shearing in the spring.
Behind the farm is a system of hiking trails that cuts through the forests and connects Kelsey Creek to Wilburton Hill Park and the Lake to Lake Trail. A segment of the Lake to Lake trail is located along the south edge of the park. This 1.5 mile trail borders a wetland habitat home to diverse wildlife species. The park’s shorter 0.9 mile gravel loop around the farm, pastures, and open spaces is ideal for jogging, walking, and bicycling.
