With their combined expertise and passion, both are poised to make a meaningful impact on Bellevue’s growing reputation as a premier meetings, conventions, and leisure travel destination.

Veronica Romano Joins Visit Bellevue's Destination Sales Team

Veronica Romano steps into the role of Destination Sales Manager, bringing 12 years of experience in hospitality, sales, and client engagement. In her new role, Veronica will focus on driving sales for small market meetings and events, positioning Bellevue as a premier destination for conventions, meetings, and sports tournaments. She will work closely with local hotels, venues, and businesses to secure long-term bookings that generate significant economic impact for the city. 

Prior to joining Visit Bellevue, Veronica held leadership roles in managing and overseeing daily operations for multi-unit cafes at Google Seattle and Aramark/Lifeworks. Most recently, she worked in wholesale sales at Grand Central Bakery.  A Florida International University graduate with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, Veronica brings an expertise in client engagement and sales, as well as a passion for hospitality to her new role.

Natalie Fortes Steps Into Tourism Manager Role

Natalie Fortes has been promoted to Tourism Manager after two years as an intern with Visit Bellevue. Most recently, Natalie has worked on enhancing visitor experience programs such as the Bellevue Lake Cruises, Bites of Bellevue Food Tours, and the Bellevue Airport Shuttle. In her new role, Natalie will focus on supporting Bellevue’s key tourism programs for visitor experience, destination stewardship, and community relations. These include managing Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) programs, analyzing tourism data, and collaborating with local stakeholders.

With a strong passion for community enrichment, Natalie co-founded a mental health nonprofit at 15 and played a key role in advocating for Washington State House Bill 1216. A Gonzaga University graduate with a background in Marketing, Public Relations, and English, Natalie brings a dynamic combination of skills and dedication to her new role.
