BellHop, Bellevue’s free, on-demand shuttle service operating in downtown Bellevue, unveils new vehicles and a whole new look. Visit Bellevue, in partnership with the City of Bellevue, Amazon, Puget Sound Energy, and Circuit, is now operating an upgraded fleet of five all-electric Kia EV9 SUVs, expanding comfort, capacity, and reliability for visitors, residents, and workers moving throughout Bellevue.
“The fleet upgrade arrives as Bellevue prepares for a busy summer travel season, increased visitation surrounding FIFA World Cup 2026™, and new travel patterns created by the completed 2 Line light rail connection between Seattle and Bellevue,” said Brad Jones, Executive Director of Visit Bellevue. “BellHop helps provide convenient first and last mile connections between Bellevue’s light rail stations, hotels, restaurants, shopping districts, parks, and key visitor destinations.”
Launched in 2023 as a pilot program using electric GEM vehicles, BellHop has provided more than 248,514 passengers and 185,602 rides, while reducing over 107.82 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions, offsetting 23,351 gallons of fuel, and avoiding over 35,380 single-occupant vehicle miles.

“Working with Visit Bellevue, we’ve had the opportunity to pilot new approaches to electric microtransit,” said Mark Iannon of Circuit. “This fully electric Kia EV9 fleet represents an exciting step forward as we continue exploring how next-generation vehicles can enhance service and expand what’s possible.”
The transition to the all-electric Kia EV9 fleet was supported in part by a Puget Sound Energy Transportation Emission Reduction (TER) Project Grant. The new fleet of BellHop vehicles are fully enclosed SUVs, offering greater EV range, higher safety standards, and more space and comfortable seating.
