Entitled "Bellevue, Washington: Bold, Beautiful & Bustling," travel journalist Harriet Baskas penned a four page feature in the Northwest Travel + Life Magazine's annual issue of 52 Getaways. A longtime Seattleite who has spent time in Bellevue over ten years ago, Harriet starts off the article noting that her "image of Bellevue.. was stuck in the past" and that the city has grown up, filled out, and "is now a sophisticated go-to destination for upscale shopping, top-rated dining, creative entertainment and all manner of enticing indoor and outdoor activities."

Turn to page 76 and you'll find a glamorous image of the new Intercontinental Bellevue at The Avenue, the first of many things that bewitched Harriet during her visit. She mentions The Bellevue Collection, the new Bites of Bellevue Food Tour, the cooking classes at Whisk, Bake's Place Bar & Bistro, Jocovine, and more. She praises the urban hiking in Bellevue, along with the new Duffy Boat Bellevue Lake Cruises experience. She even got a chance to experience the virtual reality games at Mirra, and rounded up her trip with a visit to the Bellevue Botanical Garden
