About

LifeWire is Washington State’s leading nonprofit ending domestic violence and supporting survivors on their paths to safety, stability, and healing. Through comprehensive services—including emergency shelter, housing assistance, and advocacy—LifeWire empowers survivors to rebuild their lives. LifeWire works to prevent domestic violence through community outreach and free prevention trainings. Since our founding, we have helped over 165,000 survivors live free from fear. In 1982, we opened our doors as Eastside Domestic Violence Program (EDVP), providing survivors in east and north King County, Washington, offering support groups and emergency shelter. Since then, our services have grown to include survivor-driven advocacy, mental health therapy, shelter, and housing.
