What is Snowflake Lane?
The first Snowflake Lane parade took to the streets of Bellevue in 2005, and it was meant to be a small, festive event that would bring a touch of holiday cheer to the downtown area. Fast forward 21 years, and it’s the Pacific Northwest’s premier holiday event, featuring entertainment from:
- 250 cast members that perform nightly as Toy Drummers, Snow Princesses, Sugar Plum Fairies, the Snow Flurry Color Guard, Polar Bear, Teddy Bear, and more
- Nightly snowfall from over 55 snow machines
- Thousands of twinkling lights
- Over 80,000 pieces of candy handed out to children on the parade route
The parade is a mesmerizing winter wonderland presented by The Bellevue Collection. Expect falling snow, dazzling lights, festive music, and an array of costumed characters every night from the day after Thanksgiving to the day before Christmas in Downtown Bellevue. It's totally one of the most exciting holiday traditions in the Pacific Northwest.

Where to get Santa Photos in Bellevue
Bellevue Square's Center Court is a stage and gathering space for celebrating all sorts of holidays in Bellevue, and the decor is always photo-worthy. Starting November 24 through Christmas Eve, the 20-foot immersive screen will feature a "Season of Celebrations," an interactive and engaging display of celebrations from around the world. Then, starting November 28, the Snowflake Lane Factory will pop up on the second floor, where children and families can pose for a photo with Santa. From December 1-5 and 8-12, guests can enjoy holiday music as local school choirs and orchestras perform.
Where to Watch Snowflake Lane
The best viewing spots are on the sidewalks along Bellevue Way NE, between NE 4th and NE 8th Streets. Plan to arrive early to secure a good spot. Even though it’s artificial snow, the evenings can be cold, so consider layering up. Parking is available at Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square, and Bellevue Place, but it’s best to arrive early or use a rideshare service to avoid traffic on the weekends. For a more relaxed experience with smaller crowds, consider attending on a weekday evening.
If you want front row seats to Snowflake Lane while dining in Bellevue, several spots on the parade route are hosting special events and promotions to enhance your holiday experience.
