What is Bellevue Dumpling Week?

Bellevue Dumpling Week is February 14 - 24, 2026, and that means local restaurants across Bellevue are serving up steamed, pan-fried, stuffed, and soupy dumplings inspired by global traditions. Some are menu staples, while others are special Dumpling Week exclusives. There's even a chance you could win an adorable stuffed dumpling keychain.

Part of Visit Bellevue’s Culinary Weeks series, this delicious celebration also coincides with Lunar New Year, symbolically ushering in good fortune. Dumplings resemble ancient Chinese gold ingots called yuan bao, and eating them during the new year celebrations is believed to attract wealth and prosperity. So let's celebrate with these hand-crafted goodies!

Featured Dumpling Week Dishes

Dumpling Week is a delicious opportunity to expand our collective dumpling-pedia.

It's a handcrafted beauty, a little bundle of joy in the shape of confit wagyu tenderloin sitting next to ingredients like yuzu lace tuile at Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi, a 31st floor experience. On Main Street, Bellden Cafe is celebrating Dumpling Week with a very special menu item called Dumplins United, a fusion of two cultures on one plate, crafted by folding Ukrainian and Chinese dumplings together.

At Dough Zone, the Q-Bao® takes center stage - a fluffy bun filled with pork and savory broth with a pan fried bottom. It resembles a shengjian bao - a part of Shanghainese street-food culture, a celebration of daily life and the abundance of small joys. Baron's Sino Kitchen & Bar is cooking up a bold twist on the iconic Shanghainese xiao long bao, making it a Spicy Mala Soup Dumpling. These are delicately hand-pleated treasures, filled with pork in a numbing spice-flavored, savory broth. The long translates to dragon, and that's always prosperous.

Black Bottle Gastrotavern is celebrating with Tang Yuan, a traditional Lunar New Year dessert filled with silky black sesame and walnut butter. The pillowy rice dumplings translate to "togetherness" in Mandarin, or "reunion." It's typically eaten at the end of the meal with some tea, as the soft feelings of gathering with loved ones settles into a full stomach. Supreme Dumplings in Bellevue is featuring their Mini Pan Fried Dumplings (featured in this article's hero image), which has this beautiful lace of crispy, fried gluten gathering at base of the dumplings. Inside, a pocket of hot and juicy pork with a broth sit inside a hand-wrapped exterior. So many dumplings to eat, so little time.
