PLAYFUL PUP: DOG FRIENDLY PARKS & LAKE TRAILS
Lots of Bellevue Parks and trails are welcome to dogs on leashes, with a few exceptions. Bellevue Downtown Park is a playground for many dogs and their humans looking to socialize. It’s a beautiful walk around the park, and you’ll probably spot some ducks playing in the water.
Robinswood Off-Leash Area is another sweet spot, where you can let your dogs roam freely inside the corral, which is surrounded by evergreen trees. If you leash your dog, you can walk around the park and check out the historic house, pond, and other nature-related pleasantries. Nearby, check out the Phantom Lake Loop with your dog on a leash, with a cool trail around the lake. Keep going north and you’ll find yourself walking through a greenbelt trail up to Larsen Lake. If it’s open, you can stop at the farm stand and peruse the fresh produce.
Marymoor Park has a 42-acre off-leash dog park and is locally dubbed as the “Doggy Disneyland.” With plenty of farmland to run on, water access to the Sammamish River for dogs to jump in, and an extensive network of trails, this park is also well equipped with benches, waste stations, and water fountains.
