If you're visiting Bellevue in October, you might be lucky enough to experience celebrations of Diwali throughout the city. Also known as the Festival of Lights, Diwali is one of India's biggest celebrations, symbolizing light's triumph over darkness and new beginnings.

Gandhi Jayanti 

At 9:00 a.m. today on the south lawn of the Bellevue Regional Library, gather for a solemn and inspiring ceremony at the Gandhi statue. Hosted by the Consulate General of India, Gandhi Jayanti honors Gandhi’s principles of peace and nonviolence at a time we need to remember it most. It’s free and open to all.
