- Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar is known for its raw bar and seafood entrees, and yet its soup offerings such as clam chowder, crab bisque, and hot and sour soup, fit naturally into a winter comfort lineup.
- Duke's Seafood is a cornerstone of Pacific Northwest cuisine, focusing on sustainable seafood. They've got an award-winning clam chowder to try, and there's actually four chowders on the menu, featuring lobster, crab, and salmon. Separately, there's also an awesome vegan veggie stew and you can get them all in tiny little dinghys.
- Bis on Main serves a mean French Onion Soup, made with fresh thyme and gruyere cheese. There's also a Bouillabaisse on the menu, a hearty seafood stew with seasonal fish, white wine, saffron, and all the fixings.
- El Gaucho is a premium steakhouse with all of the ambiance. For soup options, there's a rustic French Onion Soup and the Insane Truffle Soup is a special treat, made with vegan cream and white truffle mushrooms.
Korean Soups & Stews
Korean soups and stews reward you with depth of flavor, bold spices, and comforting warmth. Many are simmered for hours to allow bones, aromatics, and spices to create rich and layered broths that are deeply satisfying.
- At Daeho Kalbijjim & Beef Soup, you'll find excellent braised short ribs in their standout kalbijjim sizzling dish and an array of rich beef soups that feel both restorative and indulgent at the same time. Plan to put your name down for a table when you arrive, with wait times up to a couple hours.
- At Cho Dang Tofu, enjoy soft tofu stews that arrive in bubbling hot stone pot bowls packed with spice, seafood or beef, and served with banchan. The deeply comforting flavor feels tailor-made for crisp Bellevue days.
- Mama's Kitchen serves homestyle dishes like soondooboo, or tofu soup, and budae jjigae, which is called army soup and is full of goodies. It's like Korean soul food.
- Paik's Noodle throws Korean Chinese noodles into the mix with lots of comfort options with rich, savory broths and sauces in their jjamppong and jjajangmyeon.
Japanese Ramen and Noodle Soups

- Hokkaido Ramen Santouka simmers pork bones for about 20 hours to achieve the tonkotsu soup in their ramen. Done at low temperatures, there's vegetables, dried fish, kelp, and other savory ingredients in the broth for deep umami flavors. They also have a vegan broth.
- JINYA Ramen Bar uses FUJI Water to prepare their rich and complex broths, and their noodles undergo a special aging process to further prove their commitment to craftsmanship. They also offer ramen with satisfyingly large shrimp wontons and a more intense black garlic broth that pairs perfectly with the pork chashu.
- Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya uses a unique method of roasting their bones before boiling to create a rich, flavorful broth that is fragrant and full of depth. They also offer a veggie ramen and kale noodles.
- Ramen Nori is a casually chic Japanese ramen spot with a bonus sushi menu. The adventurous broths here range from green pesto and black sesame to wagyu shoyu. There's a Seahawks Roll on the sushi menu made with spicy tuna, spicy crab, and shrimp tempura topped with seared salmon, eel sauce and spicy mayo.
Chinese Soups, Hot Pot, and Comfort Bowls

- Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle is a family owned restaurant with rich broths and hearty ingredients. Try the Original Crossing Bridge Rice Noodles, served with a hot broth and a platter of ingredients add for an interactive eating experience. If you've never had pickled cabbage in your noodle soup before, this is the spot to try it.
- Nuodle is known for having a wide variety of Chinese staples, and their Original Handmade Beef Noodle Soup is the perfect solution to a cold winter nose. Sometimes you can catch the noodle masters at work behind the glass windows from the dining areas.
- Lao Ma Tou Hot Pot is a slice of Northern Chinese cuisine with a sizable sauce/snack bar. The focus is on savory broths and pork broths, high quality meats, and customizable dipping sauces. You can order your ingredients off of a digital notepad, and one by one they arrive for their soup bath.
- Tang Bar is a modern, self-serve Malatang spot, where you build your own personal hot pot bowl. You have a variety of meats, veggies, and other ingredients to choose from at the expansive cold bar for your bowl, then you pick one of six flavor packed broths for an extra satisfying slurp.
Vietnamese Pho and Clear Broths
Pho, the savior for hangovers everywhere, is a deeply comforting and aromatic dining experience, offering warmth without heaviness. The broths are a labor of love, as are the family owned restaurants. The refreshing and crunchy appetizers are a bonus, with options like fresh spring rolls stuffed with shrimp, to be dipped in a housemade peanut sauce.
- Monsoon Bellevue on Main Street offers a contemporary pho menu for lunch and brunch, with a vegetarian mushroom option and beef from painted hills farm.
- Pho Ever has its own parking lot just outside of downtown Bellevue, and offers a wide variety of noodle soups, including Ox Tail Pho, Bún Bò Huế, and all the classics.
- Chay Concept is a vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant with exiting flavors. Their menu includes: Purple Yam Soup, Pumpkin and Lotus Seeds Soup, Egg Noodle Soup, etc.
- I Love Pho is a neighborhood stable for delicious Vietnamese food. The wide Pho menu features ingredients like beef brisket, ey round beef, fried tofu, meatballs, tendon, prawns, and more.
