The St. Jude’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Washington running series is back with its new home in Bellevue, Washington. Bellevue is thrilled to host the series and is already preparing for the 2022 event. The runners will enjoy the backdrop of the Cascades and Mt. Rainier as they race through the city.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll running series is no stranger to the Pacific Northwest. Previously held in Seattle, the runners will enjoy the same mild climate and gorgeous scenery. Since 1998, the world-renowned running series has been best known for its live musical performances and fun-loving running community.
The event will take place on September 3-4, 2022, for Labor Day weekend. Runners will get to choose from three available distances: the half marathon, the 5 k, and the KiDS Race. The events don’t require any pre-qualifications, and runners and walkers alike are encouraged to participate.
An anticipated 10k – 12k runners will participate in the events. Out of those participants, approximately 50% of them will travel from over 1000 miles away.
The race will start and end in the beautiful Bellevue Downtown Park. The headquarters will be located at the Bellevue Collection. After the race, runners will be within walking distance from Bellevue’s most accommodating hotels and delicious restaurants.
St. Jude’s Research Hospital has partnered with the Rock ‘n’ Roll running series for this event, and participants will have the opportunity to give back by raising funds for the charity while they train for the race. The event is an amazing opportunity for charity and community growth.

Reservations about running? Many volunteers will be needed to help coordinate the event. The City of Bellevue has set up an event information page where interested parties can sign up for updates and community activation opportunities.
