Adaptive Kayaking at Meydenbauer Bay Park & Enatai Beach Park

Located at Bellevue’s Meydenbauer Bay Park and Enatai Beach Park, visitors can experience adaptive kayaking at Best Kayak Rentals’ boathouse. Co-owner Jeremy Oyen has been leading and training paddling instructors in Adaptive Paddling for the past 20+ years as an American Canoe Association Adaptive Paddling Instructor Trainer Educator. Paddlers with disabilities can enjoy kayaks, canoes, and SUPs with a full suite of equipment from Creating Ability, such as hand adaptations, wrist adaptations, paddle pivot, varied paddle styles, universal paddling seat, stabilizing outriggers, and a kayak chariot. Adaptive Cycling and Mountain Biking

Outdoors for All has one of the largest adaptive bike fleets in the country and offer free rentals at Lake Sammamish Adaptive Cycling Center between April and September. During the off season, you can rent the bicycles for a fee at the Outdoors for All Bellevue Office, located at 1800 Richards Road. Depending on the season, Outdoors for All also works with Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance to offer adaptive three wheeled MTBs for mountain biking experiences at Duthie Hill MTB Park in neighboring Issaquah.

Explore Bellevue Botanical Garden

Verified by Wheel the World, Bellevue Botanical Garden offers a Trails & Accessibility Guide featuring specific measurements of trails, paths, and materials to the Rock Garden, Waterwise Garden, Perennial Border, Rhododendron Glen, Yao Garden, The Ravine Experience & Bird Loop, and more. Benches are located throughout the Garden. There are accessible restrooms located next to the Trillium Store, and there is an electric wheelchair charging station located in the Shorts House.

Adaptive Aerial Course at Bellevue Adventures

At Bellevue Adventures, explore their newly constructed Aerial Park, which includes wheelchair accessible elements. Adaptive Bowling at Lucky Strike

Lucky Strike Bellevue is an entertainment destination located in The Bellevue Collection, featuring an inventive adaptive bowling experience. The venue features wheelchair-accessible lanes, bowling ramps for those who need a little extra support, and lightweight balls and ball pushers to ensure that guests with physical disabilities can enjoy a comfortable and empowering bowling experience. Adaptive Hiking Trails in Bellevue and Beyond

The Pacific Northwest is home to some of the most strikingly beautiful and diverse hiking in the country. In Bellevue, there are plenty of accessible trails to explore. In fact, The City of Bellevue began providing specialized recreation activities for individuals with disabilities in the early 1970s with evening programs for adults with intellectual disabilities. The City of Bellevue continues to commit to empowering individuals living with disabilities to participate in outdoor recreation with programs like Connections, which provides workout classes adapted for adults with physical disabilities at the Highland Community Center and Park. Additional Adaptive Recreation Activity locations in Bellevue include the Northwest Arts Center, Robinswood Tennis Center, Bellevue Aquatics Center, and more.

In addition to the Bellevue Botanical Garden, Lake Hills Greenbelt is home to an accessible mile long trail that takes you through a wetland, a blueberry farm and into the cedar woods, as well as an accessible fishing pier for lake fishing.
