Since opening in 2005, KidsQuest has welcomed more than 3 million visitors and now serves over 200,000 people each year — proof that families across the Pacific Northwest see the museum as a vital part of their children’s growth and exploration. Through over 25 hands-on exhibits, STEAM-based classes, outdoor play areas, and special events, kids are encouraged to build forts, climb, tinker, get messy, and take “safe risks” that boost their creativity and confidence.

One thing that makes KidsQuest stand out is its commitment to inclusivity. From neurodiverse learners to children with physical disabilities, every exhibit and program is thoughtfully designed to welcome everyone. KidsQuest also believes in intergenerational play, hosting family workshops, summer camps, school-age programs, and even team-building events that local companies like Amazon and Google love.
Big Plans Ahead
KidsQuest’s mission to create learning through the power of play is only growing stronger. Putter Bert shares a peek at exciting plans for a new 40,000 sq. ft. facility near Mercer Slough. This new space will make room for even more interactive exhibits and community programs.
